Christmas, New Years, etc.

It has been a little while since our last post, so it's time for a new one! Our most sincere apologies to both of you who read this, and to make up for it our plan is to blog quasi-consistently this new year. That said, here is a quick update on the happenings of the last few weeks...

We spent the Christmas season this year in glorious Spring, Texas with my new family (and Stephanie's old family). We went to Dallas to hang out with my new brother Wes for his birthday, and got to go to a Stars hockey game while we were there. Funny story, Stephanie did not realize that fighting is allowed in hockey. A little ways into the game, a fight broke out between two players. As they were about to start punching the living daylights out of each other, Stephanie turned to me with a concerned look on her face and asked, "Wait, are they about to fight? Can they DO that?" After she found out that, yes, in hockey people are allowed to fight (for better or for worse), she couldn't wait for the next showdown. My wife likes hockey fights. Who knew.

The rest of the trip was great, we had a Christmas morning complete with the most presents I have ever seen in one place at one time, and all of the scrumptous treats you could eat. Good times all around. After leaving Texas, we were able to hang out for a few days in Phoenix with the extended Le Shana clan. All in all, it has been a great Christmas/New Years season. We are excited to get back to school and work, and to see what 2010 has in store!
