deep in the heart of texas

We got to spend 8 awesome, wonderful days with my family in Texas a couple of weeks ago.  Our time there went by, as it always does, way. too. fast.  It was so fun watching everyone love on Elijah.  Seriously, it warms my heart more than I could ever express.  It also breaks my heart that we don't have either of our families (other than Uncle Jonathan and Uncle Jared, of course) living near us.  I feel sad for Elijah, even though he isn't aware of it yet.  Watching my family with him made my desire to have family near even deeper.  It also made me appreciate my friendships, that have become "family", even more than I did before.
